Just reading this graphic novel now, can’t say I’m thrilled with it but it’s certainly worth reading for anyone in the library field (what other comic features Ranganathan’s 5 laws of library science on the title page?). Definitely a unique comic…

5 laws??? meh. sounds like servitude on parade. we want to know what the “5 after hours laws of ticked off librairians” are – here’s one:
1. stick that gum under the table, kid, and you’ll never read another book in your life. grrrrrrrrrrrrr.
2. Tearing pages out of books is punishable by death.
3. i don’t care how sorry you are, missy! reshelving books by patrons is the number one cause of “lost” materials. do you understand me?!!!!
4. do not “shush” the staff. ever. see #2 for penalty.
5. If you don’t want to pay overdue fines, bring the materials back on time. Simple, eh?
I can’t stand people who complain about overdues…
